Resources, Resources, Resources.

Survival is all about your levels of energy. Start to burn more calories than you’re consuming and your mental performance will suffer.
In contrast to the popular TV show, location, location, location; a survival scenario is all about resources, resources and resources.

After securing your personal protection as pillar 1, (see journal here) it’s time to evaluate possible locations of your camp.

Where, in relation to you is the tree line? Should you descend?
Where is water?
Where is fuel?
And finally, where are possible sources of food?

The closer you can get to each of the factors, the less energy you will exume seeking them and the more energy you will conserve.

Survival is all about your levels of energy. Start to burn more calories than you’re consuming and your mental performance will suffer.

When your mental performance suffers, daily tasks you’d find easy with a body full of glucose become tremendously difficult.

It’s then that accidents begin to occur.

So, whilst ensuring your own personal protection and staying out of danger, camp as close as possible to the resources you will need to thrive.

Stay sharp, stay safe.
